Tower Box Tutorial

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a fun weekend!

It's my turn to share an inspiration project for Craftyscrappers as a part of my DT team and I came up with this amazing Tower Box Tutorial!

It's a fun gift box and as Diwali (An Indian festival of lights) is arriving it could be a perfect gift for anyone.
It can hold 4 items and that too in such a small space!
So let's begin.......

I started with a black thick sheet of paper measuring 12.5 by 6 inches. Here 0.5 inches (in 12.5) is for securing box so that it could close well, so for further measurements keep this 0.5 aside & all measurements will be done with 12 inches only.

Now score it as shown in the picture below, divide 12 inches into 4 parts of 3 inches & 6 inches into 4 parts of 1.5 inches. White boxes running diagonally is the space to glue smaller paper boxes. In rest of the space glue pattern paper of your choice.

Here is the picture after adhering the pattern papers...

Pattern papers used here are from "Paper Designer" & "Papericious" these are available at Craftyscrappers

Now let's make smaller boxes, for this I picked 4 thick pattern paper sheets of 6 by 6 inches. Took one and scored it horizontally & vertically as per the measurements shown below

Crease the lines using bone folder or ruler & glue the ends together.
Repeat the same for remaining three boxes.
Also prepare the lid using same process but with 6.1 by 6.1 inces, mid section of 3.1 inches & sides of 1.5 inches each.

Now let's work on the front side of the box...I glued the pattern paper pieces to it

Added shimmer paste using brick stencil from Craftyscrappers. It was so easy to use this small stencil, Craftyscrappers have an option to customise the stencil size of your choice, isn't that great to get as per your requirement.

Look at this lovely shade in yellow...totally sparkly!

Added some colour splatters in blue & black...

Now glue the smaller boxes inside to the main sheet..

Embellish the box as per your choice, I added this cute stamped image to the paper dolly die cut. This cute mini stamp "Bouqet of Happiness" is also from Craftyscrappers & is designed by me :)

Added lots of flowers, laces, pollens and rhinestones to the lid.

I hope you liked the box & enjoyed the post, do give it a try & share your creations with us, and don't forget to leave some love :)

We have an interesting challenge going on at Craftyscrappers Sparkle it Up for October 2017, do join us and share your creations.

That's all for today.....

Happy Crafting!

Fun with acetate and shimmer pastes!

Hello Friends,

I am excited to share my project made for Craftyscrappers and there is also a tutorial on this fun layered card with the twist of using acetate & shimmer pastes along!

The best part is it is really easy to make and yet unique in its design, so let's start with the process of making it....

So let's begin...

Step 1. Take a piece of acetate and select the shades of shimmer pastes to be used, here I picked two shades "Dreams" & "Envy" from Craftyscrappers to get two different shades.

Step 2. Using "French Script stencil" applied the shimmer pastes to the acetate sheet.

Next I picked an orange card from the cards set again from the store, these have bright shades to choose from and are thick enough to handle layers and other mediums.

Isn't it looking pretty? I loved the outcome on acetate.

Step 3. I decided to make a window on the card to fit the acetate sheet, so cut out a rectangular piece out of the card.

Added the acetate to the cut out using both sided tape from the back side.

Step 4. Next sprayed Shimmer Spray "Sweet Sunshine"  on a piece of pattern paper. I must say these sprays are so perfect, they spread beautifully and just little is needed to spray; they give nice intense color.

Step 5. Mounted this to a brown cardstock and tied a twine to it. Added this tag to my card.

Step 6. Stamped a cute Hog image using the stamp set "Hogs and Kisses" and coloured it using faber castell connector pens. Added this image to a piece of brown cardstock using double sided foam tape.

Step 7. Stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and added this to the card.

Lastly added few rhinestones and drew black stichted lines around the window, using black gel pen.

I hope you liked it and enjoyed the making process! Do share with me by leaving your views in the comment box below.

That's all for today, stay tuned for more interesting projects.
Enjoy! Happy Crafting!

"Sending Smiles" Postcard Card

Hello everyone,

This is Priyanka here on the blog today and I am super excited to share my first post for Craftyscrappers!

It's a card made in design of postcard, I have used Craftyscrappers stamp and a special product from the store so roll over to find out what is it........

Did you noticed the special product??
It's the newly launched shimmer paste, you can even use it to make simple cards. Isn't it pretty? And look at the finish & crisp image obtained using stencil.

Let me explain the card making process briefly along with the products used.......

At first I started with a white thick cardstock measuring 8 by 5.5 inches. Inked the top area to create a cloudy effect

Then using black pen and ruler created a line vertically at the center of the page to divide the area into two equal parts.
Using Shimmer paste "Salmon" and French Script stencil, gently spread the paste using the spatula. Lift the stencil gently and voila you get this amazing design!

Look at this clear, crisp design with shimmer! Also remember after using the stencil with shimmer paste, place the stencil on another rough surface and get the excess paste removed with the help of spatula to store it back to the bottle. This way it will prevent wastage.

I stamped these lovely images using "U Lift Me Up" stamp set from the store. My stamp size is 5 by 5 inches. Coloured them using pencil colors and Faber Castell connector pens from the store.

Next arranged the stamped images to my card using foam tape. Stamped the sentiment on another piece of tag and glued it with black cardstock to my card. Stamped a small seal to the left and added some script die cut from pattern papers. Mounted this cardstock on another card (in A4 size half folded).
Lastly added the die cuts to the top corners and added sticker pearls to them, which are again from the store. And my card was complete. I hope you would definitely get inspired in some way with my card.

Don't forget to share your thoughts with me.
Thanks for stopping by!

Here is the list of complete Supplies used from the store:

We will be back with many more interesting projects & tutorials by our team, so stay tuned!
 Thank you!

"Happy Moments" Photo frame

Hello Friends, I made this frame few days gifting journey is going on and I am happy to share my creativity with others! The packets are on my table ready for dispatch..I wish I could give them personally and feel that expression of happiness!

It's a small MDF frame. I coloured it with a deep magenta colour shade after a coat of gesso. Then went about to get the crackle effect. Top coat was a light baby pink shade but I did some random inking everywhere to get these dual shades of orange and pink. Edges were sponged with blue ink shade which also matched with my pattern paper.

Next did some random stamping and colouring. Created small white colour dots using gel pen. Added some gold paste to add more texture

Here is a small shaker element with handwritten sentiment and a jute twine peeking from behind. Pattern paper, sequins & twine are from Papericious. Butterfly stamp is from Itsy Bitsy and tiny flowers are from Mudra craft stamps. Die cuts are from Eno greetings.

I hope you liked share your thoughts :)
Have a Great Day!!

Hello Friends,
I am back here with a bright card made in warm shades of summer. It was an easy card but as usual I started with some idea & then ended with some twist in between...
Have a look.....

After inking the background and stamping I thought of dividing the panel into 2 parts and this was what I have not planned earlier!
The lovely flowers were stamped and heat embossed on coloured vellum sheet. I was happy to see this orange shade vellum as it perfectly mached my card.

I hope you liked it, do share with me :)
Happy crafting and Happy weekend!
