Fall in love with Fall!

Hello Friends,

It is the month of December! The year is coming to an end and it seems it passed so quickly! And we shall be entering another New year with new hopes, ideas & more crafty fun!

Today I have prepared a layout on fall theme for current month's ICR challenge, theme is Anything goes with mixed media!

To create the background I started with inks to get the colors of fall, then stenciled leaves using Itsy Bitsy stencil set. Also stenciled damask design using texture paste. The pattern papers I used here are from Papericious, If only pack. They co-ordinated so well with my layout.

Some close up pics...

I love these beautiful felt leaves, bought from local craft store. Added some twigs with berries, a bow made with natural twine and a cute little metal heart. Chevron sheet is also from Itsy Bitsy.

Added some glass beads and tiny sparkle dots to create more texture.

Hope you all liked it! Do share with me and don't forget to visit ICR to views some wonderful mixed media projects prepared by my fellow design team members.

Stay happy! Have a Great day!

Blooming Memories of France!

Hello Friends,

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend! I made a colourful layout yesterday, a different try with new techniques. Have a sneak peak and then I'll disclose what I did with this :)

Isn't it looking pretty? I love the effect of colours.

For it, I started with a 12 by 12 inches pattern paper. Sprayed some shimmer mists at the all the corners, after it was dry picked my soft pastels in pink and orange shades and blended the colours using my fingers. Although I used pastels above the mists but the shine was still visible!

Now stamped the flower images using Itsy Bitsy stamp set (big florals) and my newly purchased Mudra's botanical blooms stamp set. Both are made in India products! and I loved them :)
After stamping the florals in black ink again I used my pastels in blue and green to create some deeper effect towards inside around the images on paper.

Next highlighted the Eiffel Tower, Colosseum and other images with black gel pen. Rubbed some black pastel at the edges of Eiffel Tower. Now using a white gel pen highlighted the stamped images and monuments. Using texture paste stenciled a clock and added a shimmery butterfly at it's one end.

Next added two hearts rub ons near the Eiffel Tower and created some snowy effect with white gel pen. Lastly rubbed the black pastel at edges and it was done!

I didn't captured the making process as I was not sure what I will do next and how it will look, anyways end result was good. I hope you all liked it too! Do share with me :)

Thanks for visiting!
Have a great day! :)

Colorful Layout

Hello Friends,

I am back with a simple yet beautiful layout to share with you all. My creation is inspired by this month's Lulupu challenge. I picked up some lovely colors and shapes from the mood board to create this layout.
So here it is

It's a hanging layout! I mounted it on a piece of mdf board and pierced two holes to hang it with a metal chain.

Used plenty of fussy cut flowers and leaves along with some mulberry and other paper flowers. Base for the photo was prepared using all my scraps of pattern papers. Added some tiny sparkling stars near the circles and few sequins here and there. Sentiment on the die cut and the mini butterfly was covered with glossy accents.

Some close ups,

Stamped some tiny blue leaves with hand drawn dots in peach color at the corners of my layout.

I hope you like it! Do share, I love to read what you say!
Thanks for visiting!
Happy weekend!

Treasured Memories

Hello Friends!
Today I have a layout to share with you all! It's my first one, and so I was very excited about what to add & how to proceed. Incorporating lots of patterned paper scraps, stamps, acrylics, inks & few other elements, here is my layout

Design is inspired by ICR Story scrappers this month's challenge. Starting with a pink patterned sheet stamped musical notes using Bo Bunny "It's written" stamp set, some circles using white and gold acrylics & pen cap. Once the base was ready punched the sides & using a craft scissor gave a wavy pattern to the sides. Then arranged the patterned papers. To match with 2-0-1-6 challenge at Lulupu I added 6 patterned papers one in floral print at the either sides, two around the black photo sheet & other two at the top (& the one in pink is the same as used around the photo sheet) and the base pink patterned sheet.

These pretty roses were fussy cut & slightly curved to give them a real look.

I loved these pretty pink hearts made with glittery foam sheet. Added some purple rhinestones here & there.
Sentiment is hand written!
I hope you like my layout. Do tell me, I love to read your comments :)
Thanks for visiting! Have a Great day!
