A Creative Hanging!!

Hello Friends!! :)

Hope you all are well!! Just few more hours & we'll be entering a new year with new hopes, creative ideas, inspirations & challenges!
So here is my last post for this year 2015, a wall hanging made with washi tapes, pattern papers some scraps & other embellishments.
Enjoy the pics

This wall hanging is made up of chipboard covered with handmade paper. I used few washi tapes (one in black & white & a glitter one in dark pinkish colour) some pattern paper cut into strips & the yellow one with red stars is a normal printed tape. Made some random designs with pen top using gold & white acrylics.

All pattern papers and tapes were sealed using Mod Podge Matt, this added a little shine to them & it will act as a rescue from getting them come out. Again mod podge helped me to decoupage a paper tree with tiny hearts. In the above pic I used one more pink washi tape around the glitter tape.

I love the bricks around the window made with Tim Holtz distress crackle paint. Look how amazing cracks appeared. Tied both the chipboards together with jute twine & at the bottom added few golden bells.

Hope you like it!! Do tell me, I love to read all your comments :)
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2016!!

Mixed Media Altered Bottle

Hello Friends!!
A new project to share today, An altered bottle!
I have never done it before, so I was so excited to give it a go!
Have a look

Altered bottle

Altered bottle

How I started?
I picked an empty soap bottle for this and used mod podge to stick a layer of cheese cloth to the entire bottle. Then coated the bottle with gesso.
I mixed some acrylic paint & texture paste and applied it on a white sheet using stencil. Then fussy cut it in random shapes & again glued these patterns on the bottle using mod podge. Next added some gold acrylic colour to the texture paste & applied it on the bottle here & there. Sprinkled some copper dust on the wet paste.

Left the bottle to dry completely, then painted it with acrylic paints.
Frame & dragonfly was handmade using clay & silicon mold. I added lots of blooms around the frame. Added pieces of washi tape near the frame. These were added to a thin paper & then glued to the bottle to increase it's visibility. The neck of my bottle is covered with purple foam sheet & tied with a twine. Added some charms & pearls.

I hope you like it! Do share, I love to read your comments :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Season's Greetings

Hello Crafters!! :)

Here is my another festive card for this month

I started with a white cardstock & stenciled different patterns using pigment ink. I bought this stencil from a local craft store & it has so many wonderful shapes!
My pretty red rose is made using glitter foam sheet & the yellow one with a thick handmade sheet. Leaves were stamped, sponged with inks & were fussy cut.
Christmas tree is made using a pattern paper, mounted over the card using foam tape, with tiny red rhinestones, golden sequins & a star.
Some tiny snowflakes hanging from the border & a small Christmas stocking ready for the gifts!

I hope you like my card! Do tell me I love to read your comments :)

Christmas Pop Up Card

Hello friends!! :)

Hope you all are well. The year is coming to an end & it seems it passed so quickly. It has been six months since I started blogging & now I am just enjoying it thoroughly!
Now coming to the post, I have a Pop up card to share today. Have a look..

Christmas Pop up card

My card is inspired by Dr. Sonia's Pop Up Cards, she has a mastery on making amazing pop up cards and it was always on my list to make some pop up cards & here is the one

A closer view
Christmas Pop up card

My card has two stages for the pop up mechanism one with the green foam bushes & other holding the house. At the back there is a green arch coloured with DI with some snow on it! (done with signo white gel pen), with some punched flowers, leaves & stickers. The bell at the right corner is made with stencil using colour box pigment ink, tied with a golden string & holly leaves. Towards the outer side there are mini purple flowers punched out of foam sheet with rhinestones at the center.

Tiny blue sequins at the either sides of the pop up stage.

Left corner shows a pretty handmade bow with a tag "with love". I also love the glittery golden border above the red polka dots pattern paper.

This is the top cover of my card, I kept it simple since the surprising element is inside!

And here is how the card is closed flat & can be packed easily.

So that was all. I hope you like my card, do tell me :)

Snowy Christmas

Hello friends!! :)

Happy Winters! Today I have a Christmas card to share, this is something different from my usual ones, I tried with a new technique of using chalk pastels (Camel Soft Pastels) this time.
Have a look at my snowy card

Snowy Christmas Card
The background is created using chalk pastels, I used my fingers to blend the colours. For the edges did some sponging with black DI to add more depth. Tiny white snow is made using uniball signo white pen. I just love this background! This background is inspired by Patrica St Martin's Card The difference was she used inks to create her background & I used pastels.
My colourful Christmas trees are free hand drawn, painted with chalk pastels & fussy cut. They are all standing in a VIBGYOR pattern! I added tiny yellow stars rhinestones at the top of these trees.
I used a Christmas stencil bought from a local store to make Santa with his rein deer carriage, using texture paste & some silver glitter.

The snow at the ground is also made using texture paste & tiny thermocol particals. My mini snowman are made using quilling strips. Finally added punched golden snowflakes at the right corner & a sentiment tag.
