You are so enchanting - Princess Layout

Hello everyone!

I am back with a princess theme layout tutorial!
This project revived my childhood memories and fairy tales as it is inspired from a famous fairy tale and you will certainly recognise it after looking at it.

Now moving on to the picture tutorial....

STEPS:

1.Take a piece of cardboard, any colour corrugated sheet and distress or archival inks.

2. Create the background blending the inks using blending tool and glue a piece of corrugated sheet to the base.
3. Now using the stamp set "Dots to Lines", stamp the image randomly and add white embossing powder to it. Heat emboss the stamped area.

4. Next I picked this lovely stamp "You are so Enchanting" and stamped the images on a piece of white cardstock, coloured them using faber castell colour pencils and fussy cut them.

 5. Select other embellishments to go with your background, like flowers, chipbords, die cuts, pattern papers etc.

6. Arrange and glue the elements to the cardboard

7. I added some more texture to the base by applying shimmer texture paste to the corrugated sheet. These are so good to use for any mixed media project and on any surface! I also added some tint of gold paste

8. Here is the completed look and some more close up pics...

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial, do leave some love and feedback below.

Here is my inspiration card,

A brief description
On how to create this fun card
  • Took a thick white cardstock and folded it into half in such a manner that front side is smaller than back side
  • Using archival ink "Vibrant fuscia" created the background getting a dense shade at bottom and moving with a lighter shade on top
  • Sprinkled few drops of water and removed the excess droplets with tissue
  • Using this cute stamp set "Wishing you Tons of Fun" by Craftyscrappers, stamped the images then coloured and fussy cut them.
  •  Added a piece of acetate to the front side of the card using double sided tape
  • Punched the corners of the card
  • Using "Brick stencil" from Craftyscrappers added the embossing ink using sponge on the cardstock and acetate
  • Added gold embossing powder and heat embossed it. I repeated the process to get a thicker layer
  • Lastly added the images using foam tape and added few sequins and sentiments.

And yes this cute elephant stamp set is designed by me! :)

Now it's your turn to join us at Craftyscrappers, you can share any type of project as long as it meets the theme of challenge "Embossing" and with one product from Craftyscrappers!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Feeling of Gratitude!

Hello Friends,

I am sharing a tag today, I am not pretty much in making tags but thought of making it today and then I was inspired to use something special here, continue reading to know what it is!

Also I tried my hands on pencil colouring after a long time and it came out pretty well...I just loved it, not bad doing after a long time.
Have a look....

This image is something special that inspired me to use it. It is designed by Shery Russ from Stamplorations and is a freebie!

I got it printed, coloured it and used it for my tag! It perfectly suited the background colours as well.

Background is made using distress inks "mowed lawn", "broken china" and pigment blue ink from colourbox.

Then I used "gathered twig" distress ink on stencil to get this brown beautiful design.
Sentiment is handwritten since I did'nt have something in my stash relating to gratitude...so I used this beautiful quote from internet.

Also I have used foam dots to add more dimension to the flowers and for a touch of polka dots.

I hope you liked my tag, do share with me!

Thanks for visiting!
Have a Great day, Happy Crafting!

Mermaid Wishes!

Hello Friends!

My second post for today! Feeling happy to share my projects :)

Here is a colourful interactive card..

This is how it opens up.......

For the background I have used distress ink with brick stencil and added silver foil randomnly at few bricks, isn't the combination looking pretty? For the other half part I have used chevron pattern paper with a splash of shimmer sprays. I have stamped some fishes to the front panel too.

These cute mermaids were stamped, coloured and then fussy cut. I have adhered them to small pieces of vellum and added to my card using foam tape. Stamp is from Craftyscrappers "Mermaid Wishes"

This was all....I hope you liked this cute card

Let's move with our tutorial now...
Let me share the picture of my projects first,

I loved the shimmery effect achieved with fun foil, it is so easy to use and you can use it on different surfaces!

A brief tutorial:

To begin with you need following art supplies:
  • Fun Foil from Craftyscrappers

  • Adhesive Foam Sheet
  • White cardstock
  • Fevicol
  • Scissors
  • Tissue paper
  • OHP sheet or vellum
  • Cardboard (to lay tissue paper)
  • Embossing powder
  • Heat tool
To create the tissue paper background, I took a piece of cardboard and glued tissue paper to it roughly

Now give it a coat of white gesso...

And spray it with shimmer spray "Sweet Sunshine" from Craftyscrappers

Further procedure is explained in the video...

Added diecut houses and sentiment tag to complete the look.

For this I have created the background using the same technique with tissue paper. Then embellished it with flowers and diecuts. To create the tiles follow the process in video.

And for this one I just picked some pieces of lace, natural twigs tied with yellow satin ribbon to create a bed for my butterflies. Background & butterfly making process is also mentioned in video.

Thanks for visiting!

Mini Journal Book - Tutorial

Hello Friends!

Hope you all are doing well, I am back with a Mini Journal Book project that I made for Craftyscrappers

It's quick and easy one, no binding....no messup to join the pages.......just with one sheet!
And yes it has good enough pages to record your memories!

I had a great time making it and just loved the outcome. Here I have experimented with sprays, shimmer pastes, textures and everything blended so well to form this lovely project.

This is how it looks from side..

Back cover of journal book

Inside pages with shimmer pastes, stenciling, doodling and splash of colours.

To the cover page I have added flower, pollens and bunch of leaves. Background is made by layering tissue paper and packaging tags and cardboard, I have gessoed them and then again played with the sprays. Sentiment is from the stamp set "U Sparkle" from Craftyscrappers. I have heat embossed the words and fussy cut them.

I have a Video Tutorial where I have shared the complete making process, you can check it out HERE

I hope you liked my project :)

Thanks for visiting!
