Pink Card

Hello to my lovely friends!! Welcome to my blog :)

Today I have a pink card to share with you all. One of my friend asked me to make a card with some feminine look in pink colour. So I thought of using ribbons, laces & flowers along with the pink & came up with this pretty pink card. Look at it..

The card has a slightly curve shape & it was looking pretty with that too!! :)
I glued two layers above the white base one in golden & the other in pink colour. Along with that broad black lace added this bright red satin ribbon & that cute red bow is handmade with silver stones in between adding an extra glow!
The little window is also handmade without using any dies! I just hand cut the window base on thick black sheet & stuck black-brown texture strips above it to give it some dimensional look.
Finally added two foam roses with a pink feather to complete the look. Sentiment tag is blank! Yes my friend wanted the tag to be left blank so that she can decide it later on, when to use it :)

Hope you like it, do tell me :)
Have a great day!!

Napkin Fold Card with Iris & Tea Bag folding Technique

Hello Friends!!
Firstly I want to thank all my blogger friends for your lovely comments which encourages me a lot!! I love to read  & reply each & every comment & it really brightens my day :)

This time I came up with Napkin fold card and Iris & Tea bag folding techniques. This is my first attempt at both but I really enjoyed making my card with something new!
Here is my card

Napkin Fold Card

Napkin Fold Card

This card is made using a 12*12 inches sheet of paper. A paper band is made to hold the card together. The flower on the paper band is made using tea bag folding technique (open centre star). At the center glued an embellishment which was used from an old rakhi.

This card is made for my loving brother & hence the sentiment is for him :)
At the back side of the card I glued another sheet of same size as the card with Iris folding pattern on it.

You can create interesting patterns using iris folding & it's easy to make. I'll try with more patterns & will soon add a tutorial on it. Since I am entering for this month's Hobby Mela challenge & the theme is on Rakhi festival hence this page is based on this theme. The Rakhi tag at the center is made using kaiser craft alphabet stamps & outlined with golden glitter.

Hope you liked it!!

Shine & Sparkle!!

Hello Everyone J

I altered a wooden tray this time which was lying in my house since many years, so I thought of giving it a new look. A shimmery look!!

Shimmer Tray

Shimmer Tray

Firstly I gave a good coat of wood primer all over the tray & then painted it using acrylic colours golden yellow, shimmer orange, pearl metallic gold & chrome yellow. Then rubbed some gold dust here & there while the paint was still wet. On drying applied some 3D outliner glitter rangoli using my fingers, stuck some sequins & stones at the inner sides of the tray. For the outer sides glued some purple stones & encircled them with ranger liquid pearls flamingo. Finally brushed the entire tray with gloss finish.

There are two other altered elements in this project an ice cream cup & pistachio shells which were combined to make this

For the cup glued few layers of tissue paper & then painted it with acrylics, while the pistachio shells were used to make the flower on the top. Then using glue gun stuck all the shells onto the cup & also applied some glue dots between the shells using the same glue gun.

At the center of the pistachio flower is my handmade walnut shell mini candle which I made last year for Diwali festival.

My handmade roses are made up of crepe papers, which are very simple to make. Just twist & turn the crepe paper strip & glue the ends. For a shimmery look I used 3D outliner silver glitter on my roses.

Shimmer Tray

Added some shiny thermocol balls to the wire twig & glued a silver flower to it which was purchased from a local craft store.

Hope you liked it J
Do tell me how it is!!

Shaving Foam Technique

Hello Everyone!! :)

Today I have a new technique to share with you all, Shaving Foam Technique, which brings a beautiful effect of acrylic colours on paper.

I made two cards, first one is for my very sweet mother for her birthday.

It gave a soft, shiny & beautiful blend of colours. I used shimmer acrylic colours to get the shiny look. And shaving foam itself left few sparkles on the paper!! It is not clearly visible in the pics but believe me it is there.

This technique was inspired by Pooja. Thanks a lot to her & the tutorial on her blog which helped me to bring out this. For complete details on this technique visit her blog
